The Acoustic Project began as a guitar and mandolin duo performing a mix of progressive, new music that included styles from
traditional to contemporary. During his first year in Boston, Lee met mandolin virtuoso, Jacob
Jolliff and together they shared a passion for their instruments and acoustic music. Soon, they were
playing together creating exciting performances with Lee's intricate guitar lines and Jake's fast flowing mandolin. Their shows had
a heavy focus on improvisation while showcasing both players agility on their instruments and their energy as a duo. The Acoustic Project was born and Lee continues to perform with Jacob Jolliff whenever they
are on the same coast at the same time.
After
a successful 2011 tour, The Acoustic Project has expanded it's original format to include the lovely
vocals of Amanda Addleman from San Francisco and Montana-native, David Goldberg
on mandolin. As featured players in other bands, these Berklee College of Music alumni have come together to form something
truly unique with distinctive ways of accompanying and soloing making each performance one-of-a-kind. Amanda is a well-established vocalist
in the bay area with her CD, Aglow, scheduled to be released in 2012. Dave has been recognized with numerous awards
including: Utah State Mandolin contest, 2010 Telluride Bluegrass Band contest and winner of the 2011 Rockygrasss Mandolin
contest. Performing both originals and standards, The Acoustic Project covers a wide musical
spectrum incorporating traditional bluegrass, American folk-pop and contemporary jazz creating a concert full of youth, energy
and virtuosity.
