Lee Dynes will be playing a set of freely improvised music with innovative guitarist Jakob Pek and creative bassist Lee Hodel on Monday, November 11th (Veterans Day). The event will be part of a curated night presented by Oakland Freedom Jazz Society, and will take place at Pro Arts Gallery in Oakland’s Frank Ogawa Plaza. Lee will be Sudanese music on guitar with Aswat Ensemble, featuring members from Sudan Ensemble, Khalid ElAwad and Salma El Assal. They will be playing a 40 minute set of music as part of the Umoja African Festival, which is not to be missed! Link for tickets to the festival are below.
